SOLDER STICKS AND LINE SOLDER WIRE

When selecting a solder alloy the following should be considered:

 

  • Electrical characteristic,
  • Soldering temperature,
  • Purity, 
  • Fluidity,
  • Mechanical strength and finally,
  • Economy.

 

The best combination of the above properties is found in 'bond' solder bar. The following types of solder alloys are used in the electronic industry : 

 

  • Sn-Pb solder,
  • High melting solder,
  • Low melting solder,
  • Silver bearing solder etc.
  •  

The quality of 'bond' solder bar is the best as compared to the other solder bars available in the market. 'bond' solder bar is made with extrusion process which confirms a uniform alloy composition resulting in consistent and reliable quality. The manufacturing process is such that it eliminates the contamination of metallic oxides and virtually drives out all sulphides, non-metallic inclusion and other possible contaminations.

 

EXTRUDED ECONOMICAL BAR

 

KTE's R & D wing has developed a special solder bar called 'economical solder', by selecting the right composition and introducing a special treatment, which is given at the time of manufacturing. In common solder bars, oxides can build up on the surface of molten solder, to a brownish black mass called dross. On passage of time, the surface of ‘bond’ economical solder becomes glossy in appearance for a longer time. The result is less dross formation on the surface that makes it economical too.
